Ben Dower

Ben Dower is a Principal at Bluestone Investment Partners, where he evaluates acquisition opportunities, collaborates with portfolio management teams on corporate development, and supports fundraising and investor relations. He has over 15 years of experience in corporate finance as an investment banker, strategy consultant, and in operational finance roles in the defense, technology, and cybersecurity sectors.

From 2015 to 2021, Ben held senior finance and strategy positions at software companies focused on the security space. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Finance at Cybrary, a cybersecurity workforce development platform, where he managed a broad portfolio of responsibilities, including finance, accounting, investor relations, sales operations, legal, and compliance. During his time at Cybrary, Ben led the raising of over $20 million in capital to fund the company’s rapid growth, including its 2019 Series B financing. Previously, Ben held senior roles in corporate development at leading software companies at the intersection of technology and national security, including Endgame, SAP NS2, and Haystax Technology.

Ben spent ten years as an advisor to leading companies in the defense and technology sectors, first as an investment banker and subsequently as a strategy consultant. He began his career at BB&T Capital Markets | Windsor Group, the defense and government services investment banking group of BB&T Corporation. During this time, Ben advised on over one billion dollars in completed deal value. Following his tenure at BB&T, Ben was a Director at The Chertoff Group, a Washington, DC-based advisory firm supporting clients on strategy development, risk management, and mergers and acquisitions.

Ben received a B.A. in International Studies with honors from Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
